Management of Process Knowledge - BPM in an EA context

As a discipline, EA is practised both by IT analyst and business analysts. In some organizations, EA is primarily practised by IT people, and the results represent the detailed understanding of the existing IT infrastructure. In other organizations, EA is used for describing business architecture, with a focus on business strategy, the services provided by the business and the business processes established to deliver those services. Mature EA organizations practice holistic EA, where the business-oriented perspective is joined with the IT-oriented perspective, describing how the IT infrastructure actually supports the business.
